I'm Drew Shapiro, a game designer and visual artist based in Brooklyn. My goal is to pull people into worlds that are full of surprises to uncover and challenges to overcome. I'm currently pursuing a BFA as part of the inaugural class of Game Arts at Pratt Institute.

A 2D horror physics puzzle platformer about a rat... and a dead rat.Free Game Planet calls it "horrifying and heartbreaking"and "highly recommended."Also featured in Into the Spine and Indie Games Jam

Vestige is a short open-world game about exploration, inventory management, and decision-making.Play as part of a team of alien historians preserving lost civilizations. Explore an unfamiliar(?) planet and collect artifacts from a time long past. On top of working on the game's design and programming, one of my major responsibilities on this project was creating art assets and written descriptions for the artifacts found within the game.

Levels in an empty house were designed to create several different "circuits" the player could go around. As difficulty increased, these circuits became less frequent to force the player to engage with enemies more.

JUMP ON HEAD is a platform fighter with one goal: JUMP ON HEAD. Casuals and pros alike can enjoy its fast-paced, responsive gameplay. JUMP ON HEAD Started out as a little game made in Scratch! Try it for yourself!Use WASD/Arrow Keys to control the characters and press R to start/restartWhen making the current version of JUMP ON HEAD, I originally intended to just remake this game as a way of learning GameMaker. I ended up deciding to expand upon it with new stages, 4-player multiplayer, controller support, etc.
